Peer Leadership

OCN Level 2
Peer Leadership Training
(Comparable to a GCSE)

This Programme is made up of 3 parts
Part One:    Looking at issues around leadership, communication, working together and developing teamwork skills (6 sessions)

Part Two:        Looking at drugs, alcohol and risk taking behaviour (2 sessions)

Part Three:    Designing, developing and running a peer based project
(2 sessions)

This programme is accredited through Open College Network-NI and is accredited at level 2 (6credits)

To successfully pass this course you will need to:
•    Attend 80% of the sessions AND
•    Complete 2 leadership tasks successfully
•    Submit the completed Leadership log for marking
•    Plan and develop the Peer Project

This course is suitable for anyone 15 years or over and is held here at Cheers Youth Centre.  There are no entry requirements and you do not need to have any prior knowledge of drugs to complete the course.
